The Four 'P's' of Lesson Planning

Yearly Pacing Guide Example- I can not imagine trying to start the year without a yearly pacing guide in place.  This takes a while to create, but it is so worth it.  You will have to change the dates to match the year we're in.  This is a great general overview to have on hand, and also very handy to pass out at open house so parents know what to expect.  It's OK if you don't stay with it exactly-it's just a guide.  2009-10 Template

Syllabus Template- If you have an older group, you can give them a syllabus at the beginning of each grading period so they get an idea of what the next few weeks will look like.

Unit Plan Mind Map- Not all of us think of our units in text-some of us need to draw it out (like me).  Use this guide to create unit maps.

Unit and Lesson Plan Template- I received this template in a college education course and fell in love with it.  If you want to actually take the time to really think through your units, this is a great guide to fill in.  It does take a while, but it will help you create deeper, better thought out units.  A great summer project!

Extensive Lesson Plan Template- If you want to get very detailed about a lesson, use this template.

Daily Schedule- Use this template to fill in a rough outline of your day

Daily Schedule: Typeable- Type right into this daily schedule, print and stick in a binder.

Idea Collector- Great for jotting ideas down as they come to you!

Weekly Time Calendar- Great for plotting our your week, half hour by half hour.
