Decorating

One of my favorite things to do in the classroom is decorate.  I can use just about anything for inspiration, and find most of my decorating supplies on clearance or off from freecycle.org, an e-mail group that gives things away free.  You could also look on Craislist.org.  I have received rocking chairs to re-paint, an old trunk to store theatre hats in, holiday decorations, etc.  When reading decorating magazines or looking at catalogs, I like to snip out ideas or inspiration and glue them in a book for later use.  Even the most expensive items can often be crafted for less, using donated items.  Also, don't be afraid to ask your local hardware store to help with donations!  I'll begin posting PDFs of my ideas below-help yourself!

Pottery Barn Kids, Spring 2008- Curtains, storage and wall letters are some of the ideas found from this catalog.  More felt flower pictures.
