Thanksgiving Feast Parent Letter- This is a huge, fantastic event I put on for the first time last year. Hand this letter out with sample recipes that Native Americans would have used for the first Thanksgiving. Ask parents to make a 'now' recipe and a 'then' recipe. At the dinner, students can write how they feel eating the two different sets of foods. Very eye-opening to how much we've modernized the celebration.  Menu Templates
Tree of Thanks- Create a beautiful centerpiece for your room using these leaf templates.  Print the second page first, and then print the leaves on the white 'backside'-the opposite side of the leaf will have a beautiful pattern on it.  Ask students to finish the prompt, and then hang them for a large branch or fake tree in your classroom.
